There are so many good pictures, I just picked a few. Thanks Jean for taking so many. I will put more on Facebook for everyone to enjoy.
Thanksgiving in Missouri
Our Highlander after the deer
Trying on the Santa hat
Duncan has his own Santa hat
Very ticklish
Liam is now 6 months old. At his check up today he was 28 inches long (92 percentile) and 17 pounds 14 ounces (58th percentile) His head is still only around the 35th percentile. The
doctor said he looked great and was very happy but she was a little concerned that he had lost weight since his appointment a couple of weeks ago. He was 18 pounds then. I think the weight loss is due to our traveling because Liam didn't really eat much of his cereal while we were there. There were too many fun people and things to play with :) Anyway, I am not getting worried yet but we do have to go back in a month for a weight check.
Liam is sitting up on his own with only a few wobbles here and there. He is making more and more sounds, mainly consonants like dadadadada, and really enjoying interacting with people. He smiles and smiles and smiles. The part I enjoy most though is his laugh. He is very ticklish and we have noticed that the more tired he is, the more ticklish he gets. He has found his thumb and we can usually find him sucking it when he is really tired or trying to get to sleep. Duncan has also gotten into the habit of bringing his toy to Liam to play. Liam reaches for it and grabs it. Those of you that know Duncan and his love of tug of war would be very proud of him because he is so gentle with Liam. It is pretty cute. Each day Liam is more and more interested in what we are doing. At this point, he will grab on to anything if it is in his reach and is very interested in what we are eating. Liam is still waking once a night for feeding and the doctor wants me to keep that up until his next check up because of his weight. We will be starting solid foods within the next few days. Should be fun!
We had a great time in Springfield, MO with Blake's family for Thanksgiving. Liam had so many people to play with. Unfortunately on the way home we hit a deer just north of Paducah, KY. I honestly didn't even know what happened. I was singing to Liam because he was fussy and felt Blake break hard and then heard the boom and the air bags. I was in the back seat but the deer hit right on the passenger side front corner. It has been a long couple of days trying to get everything figured out but we should hear back from the body shop tomorrow for the official damages. From what they already told Blake, there is A LOT of repair needed.
We are very excited for this Christmas season and looking forward to all of the "firsts." We will be having our bake day and take Liam to visit Santa. I will make sure to share the pictures.
