Marlo is 15 Months Old

Marlo is now 15 months old.  At her 15 month check-up, she was 24.5 pounds and 31.75 inches long.  This puts her in the 75th percentile for weight and around 85th percentile for height.  Marlo is a healthy girl!

Marlo can go down the stairs now, climb almost anything, use a fork and a spoon, with help.  She has gotten several teeth within the past month--her 4 molars, and 2 eye teeth.  Marlo continues to expand her vocabulary daily.  Some new words lately are out, up, done,  "Leo" for Liam, book, ball, cheese (while holding up my phone to take a picture), and bubble.  Marlo also is learning more animal sounds like lion and cow.  We are working on her learning all of the parts of the body too.  She can tell you where her eyes, belly button, nose, and most other things are but still gets a little confused at times.  Marlo's love of books has grown as well.  She will bring us book after book after book and sit in our laps for us to read.  Her attention span isn't too long still though so the books need to be short:)  She continues to imitate us all the time.  I was reading her a book tonight and when I was done, she pointed at the same pictures I did and made sounds exactly like I did.

While Marlo is a happy, healthy girl, we are working on her new found love of hitting.  She hits when Liam takes her toys, hits when Liam gets to close, or hits just when she thinks its funny.  This is almost always a hit to our faces.  We would love for this habit to go away quickly and realize that she cannot communicate verbally very well so this is the method she is choosing.  It has landed her into her first couple time outs.

Here are some new pictures of our big girl.
