Arden 10 Months

Arden turned 10 months old on September 21st!!  I can't believe she is almost 1!!!!  She is officially CRAWLING and is so happy to be on the move.  This isn't my favorite stage as far as cleanliness goes because no matter how much you clean or check around the floor for things, the little eyes and fingers find things you didn't even know were there.  It has been especially difficult this time around because we have two bigger kids in the house with more toys that have little pieces...especially marbles and legos.  Liam and Marlo have been pretty good about keeping things up and away from her but I am constantly looking around to make sure.  

Arden is getting her eye teeth.  She can pull up to her knees to see things and is really clapping a lot.  She loves peek a boo and enjoys trying to get others to play it.  She is also signing "all done."  As far as her food issues, she is making progress and getting a few things down.  We aren't over the hump yet.  

Arden's signature activity right now is destruction...of books and anything she can unload and mess up.  She mainly likes unloading the rubbermaid cabinet, drawer of her bibs, and the baskets under our coffee table.  If only she could clean up after herself:)  She has also hit the milestone of playing in Duncan's bowls.  This seems to be a rite of passage in our house.  She has officially arrived.

Apple Picking Time

We did our annual apple picking in September again.  I personally love going and I sure hope the kids continue to feel the same way.  After trying a new place last year, we went back to our original place this year.  We picked apples, went on a little tractor ride, watched pig races, ate some yummy fried food and the kids had fun playing and milking a cow (only Liam was brave enough) too.

Time For Some Ballet and Baseball

The first week of September, ballet started for Marlo and baseball for Liam.  Marlo couldn't wait to get back to ballet and Liam tried a new league this year for baseball.  It is a little more serious and with his new age group, it is coach pitch for the first three pitches and then the players get a tee if they need it.  The boys actually try to get the kids out on base and they play by the rules of three outs.  In the past league, each kid got a turn to bat and and they didn't play with outs.  It took all the boys a while to get used to the rules.  So much to remember!!  Liam is enjoying playing and of course the social part of it all.  Marlo has several girls from her class last year in her new class, which is nice.  Her new teacher, Ms. Niki V.  seems great!!  She was Marlo's teacher for camp this summer so a familiar face is always good too.
