School Days

Liam's first day of "school"

Tummy Time

Sleeping on Daddy

Liam is 2 and 1/2 months old and cuter than ever (of course we think so). This week I started volunteering at my church one day a week from 9-1:30. I basically am helping the staff get ready for all of the preschool classes on Sunday mornings. I spent most of the time this past Tuesday di-cutting circles...can't take the teacher out of me:) It is a good time for me to talk with other moms and as it turns out, all of the other people volunteering except one were teachers before they had children. One was even a 6th grade Math teacher. While I volunteer, Liam is going to their daycare/preschool for the staff at the church. He is in the babies room. I went to a parent/teacher meeting last week to get all of the info. It was weird being the parent this time. When I dropped him off Tuesday, they had a welcome bag for Liam and there was a sign welcoming him and all of the other students. I was impressed by how excited they were to have him there.

Liam is becoming more and more alert. I think we are getting past the stage where I can take him anywhere and he will sleep. This past week I took him to lunch a couple of times and he just took everything in and didn't hardly sleep at all. Usually during that time, he takes a pretty long nap so needless to say, he was very tired later on. Liam is following objects well and lately has been trying to sit up when I am holding him. He pulls his shoulders, head, and chest off the ground when doing tummy time. He really doesn't like tummy time for more than a few minutes so I think one day he is going to be so mad that he will roll himself back over. He has gotten close a few times. He continues to be a pretty laid back little boy. He cries when he is hungry or tired and that is about it. Sleeping at night is still the same...he wakes up to eat sometimes after 5 hours but mostly every 3-4. He has been going to bed consistently around 7:30pm and seems to be waking up around 8:30am. If this could continue with less times waking up in between, I would be one happy well-rested mom.

Happy smiles waking up

Duncan loves tummy time too
