Liam is now 7 months old and so much fun. He is such a happy baby. In fact, we have been told by the church nursery and the day care at the gym that he is one of the happiest babies they have. We don't mind:) He is becoming more and more mobile and trying to crawl but so far he only gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. He can also scoot himself backwards and turn to the side. Liam still enjoys being sung to, especially "Old McDonald." Some days I would be happy never to sing that song again but since it works when we need it, I can't complain. Liam is also reaching for us when we hold out our hands, which has been cute. He is enjoying bath time more and more. He probably could play in the bath tub until the water gets cold. He has recently learned how to splash and that has caused quite a mess. I am happy he at least doesn't mind water in his face. We are working on Liam using a sippy cup. So far he can bring it to his mouth and suck but doesn't bring up high enough to get much. When I help him, he gets the water in his mouth and then spits it out. His favorite game right now is taking his socks off. In fact, his teacher on Tuesdays said that once he takes his own socks off, he tries to take the other kids' socks off too. This all would be cute if we weren't in the middle of winter and some of the coldest days of the year.
Solid foods have been a challenge for us. Some days it can take me over a half hour to feed him a little bit of cereal and either a fruit or a vegetable. We are trying to wait a longer to feed him the solid foods after he has his milk and it has been going a little better. We found out the past couple of days that he LOVES peaches. He is a Georgia baby right??? I think the more he gets used to the textures and foods, feeding should get better. Liam has also tried puffs this month along with a "taste" of gravy Christmas morning from Oma. I am thankful that he is eating enough that his weight check went well at the doctor last week. He weighed 18 pounds 12 ounces.
Liam is still doing well in his weekday program he goes to on Tuesdays while I volunteer. The women that lead his class are wonderful with him and I often see him in there playing and talking to the other kids. In fact, just last week I got a comment on his daily sheet that said "Liam had fun hearing himself talk" I am not sure what that is going to mean for us and his teachers in the future but it made us laugh.
Liam continues to sleep through the night and take good naps. I am so thankful this time finally came. I enjoy sleeping through the night too.
Blake and I are getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. We enjoyed a snow day together this past Friday when Atlanta got a dusting of snow but since it has been so cold here, the streets iced up and it was pretty dangerous. We are looking forward to family visiting next month.

Grandpa B much? Seriously!
Harlow has that same musical table and loves it. You mentioned that Liam likes to take his socks off...have you tried Robeez shoes? They are fantastic because they actually stay on (they have flexible elastic around the ankle area). So many of my friends use these for their babies. Check out the website at www.robeez.com (the shoes are about $30 but Harlow has had her one pair for months).
