Liam 14 Months

Liam turned 14 months a week and a half ago. He started walking right before that and is getting better at it by the day. He has gained quite a bit of speed too! Liam has started saying more words. The most recent are "water, all gone, all done, please, and cracker." He is becoming more of a toddler in that when he makes up his mind he wants to do something, he does not want to be stopped. This is a problem when he wants to walk on the couch or touch something hot:) He continues to be curious, pointing to everything around him saying "this" so we will tell him what it is. He goes from pictures, to pages in books, to whatever he can find. He also is climbing more than ever. I am at least glad that he is good at getting down off of things. Liam loves imitating us. His favorite thing to do right now is hold something up to his ear like a phone and talk. Who knows what he is saying but he sure has a lot to say.

Liam is trying more foods and doing much much better drinking milk. He will finally drink about 2 full sippy cups a day. This has been a month long journey but I sure hope he keeps it up. His favorite summer food continues to be watermelon. We have to hide it so he will stop eating it! For all of you Bloomington/Normal readers, he also enjoys Gene's ice cream and loves Gondolas. Liam has started to try to feed himself. It is a mess but he isn't too bad. When I am serving something new or that he isn't so sure of, I just give him a fork and he will try it.

Liam still is taking two naps a day with his longer one in the morning. He is going to bed around 7-7:30 and has been waking up around 7-7:30 the past few weeks. I LOVE this!! He had been waking up between 6 and 6:30 for a while and he would wake up screaming when he usually wakes up talking and happy. I guess he just needed to sleep longer. I won't hold my breath but I will enjoy it as long as he wants to keep it up.

Liam continues to love animals and has met quite a few dogs and cats this month. We also took him to see cows, horses, chickens, and more at the county fair in IL. (I'll post more later) He just lights up when he sees animals.

We are enjoying this time with Liam. He sure doesn't look like our little baby anymore.
