This year was the first 4th of July in quite a while that we didn't head to Illinois. It was nice to be home but of course we missed our families. It was SO hot here!!! We had a packed weekend of cookouts, swimming, and fireworks. Liam had a great time playing. He enjoyed the fireworks but was more interested with the small ones Blake did at home. The best part was that at first, he was confused and kept calling fireworks, fire trucks. Then, to prepare him, we told him they would be loud and go "boom." For the entire weekend, any time someone asked him about fireworks all he said was "boom boom...loud!"
Liam and his friend, Sophia ready for the neighborhood party
"Man-ing" the Grill
One hot little boy!
Liam got to drive a neighbor's Lightning McQueen car...I see a small motorized car in our future
Excited about this glow stick/ring and waiting for fireworks
Duncan loves the 4th of July too!
Blake, Liam, and I enjoyed some icecream in the heat while waiting for the fireworks to start.
I see the fireworks!!!
Liam happy with his blue "necklace." I think if we would have just gotten him this and gone home, he would have been just as happy. He loved it!
The three of us on the 4th.
