Birds On A Wire Retreat

This year I started attending a mom's group called Birds on a Wire.  It meets every other week for 6 Mondays in the fall and 6 in the spring.  It is a Bible based group with a woman (and mom of 4), Karen Stubbs, who founded it and speaks at each meeting about topics that we are all dealing with as moms.  This particular year is devoted to "lies moms tell themselves."  I have to say that it is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and if you live in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend signing up next year.

Each year Birds on a Wire hosts a retreat for a weekend and this year's was the first weekend in February.  My friends Lauren, Jeni and I went.  It was filled with serious talks, fun dancing and laughing, a session on hair and make-up, free time, sleeping, eating great food, and much more.  The best part was that I had to worry about one person the whole weekend...ME!  When's the last time I did that??  I had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back next year!
