Valentines Day

This year Liam got to make his own "mailbox" for his Valentine's Day cards and he decided on super hero valentines for his classmates.  I am a firm believer in letting a kid's project look like a kids project so Liam went with me to pick out all the materials and made all of the decisions on how to create and decorate each of these things.  I hot glued the cardboard together for the mailbox and Liam did the rest, with just a little help from me.  The super hero valentines were a little harder for him to do since they involved a lot of cutting and hole punching but Liam did write his name on the back of all 18 of them.  He tried to hand over some of the work to me a few times but in the end, we were both proud of him for the work he did.

On the actual Valentine's Day, I took the kids out for some donuts and we enjoyed a day of heart sandwiches for lunch and a heart pizza for dinner.  The kids made a little Valentine for Laura (who was babysitting them that night) and Blake too.

Here are some pictures of our Valentine's Day fun.
