When nighttime finally came, the kids FaceTime/Skyped with the grandparents and then were off to get their candy and see all the fun costumes. Thankfully, Laura came and handed out candy at our house so both Blake and I could take the kids out. Marlo didn't quite get her "trick or treat" down every time. In fact, many times she yelled it from the driveway before she got to the door, but it was still adorable. Liam was an old pro and probably could have gone all night if he didn't complain about how heavy his pumpkin was getting with candy. Eventually, we headed home to sort the candy and see all the great things they had gotten. It was a very fun night for all of us.
Last but not least, we were invited to a birthday party of a neighborhood friend, Sophia, the weekend after Halloween. The kids got one more shot at costumes and each got an amazing balloon creation.
