April 19, 2009--33 weeks

Today is 33 weeks. The baby is between 4 and 5 pounds and around 17 inches long. He weighs about as much as a pineapple. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. It is funny because I was looking back at some old ultrasound pictures and he definitely had the alien look.
I am feeling well. I am more tired at the end of the day than I had been the past couple of weeks. I have still been sleeping well at night, which I am very thankful for. My stomach felt like it was stretching a lot today. I think our little boy is pretty scrunched up in there. I feel him move a lot and still am not sure what I am feeling. I think it is mostly his feet and maybe elbows. He has been head down for many weeks now so most of the movement I am feeling is up by my ribs and near the middle of my stomach. He mainly hangs out on my right side but I have been feeling him move all over lately. My belly button hasn't officially popped out yet but it is getting very close.

Today I had a fun shower with friends. Everyone was very generous. Many of the moms gave me their "must haves." I also had a shower with the people from my work on Friday. We are extremely lucky to have such thoughtful people around us.

I have finally made up my mind about what I want to put on the walls in the nursery. We will be finalizing it all and hopefully post pictures soon.

My doctor's appointments went well this week. My blood pressure was actually low for me. The doctor seemed puzzled. I even had them take it twice just to make sure. I will take it. The non stress test results were good and the ultrasound measurements were too. My OB doctor said "let's just make sure things stay this simple and quiet at least until 36 weeks" I agree. I would be perfectly happy going until the 39 week mark at this point.

Here is another ultrasound picture and a belly picture. I always feel very pregnant in this dress. The picture was taken right before my shower today.
