Liam likes his new excersaucer
Liam is now 4 months old. We went for his 4 month check up yesterday and he is 16 pounds and 26.5 inches long. This puts him in the 68th percentile for weight and 91st percentile for height. His head is catching up with his body and is I think in the 38th percentile now. The doctor thought he looked strong and healthy. He has rolled from front to back this month, started laughing more, and is figuring out what noises he can make besides the soft coos he was doing before. He has quite a little voice and the volume is a level I am sure he gets from his Daddy. It is so much fun to see the expressions on his face and hear all of the sounds he can make. Liam is sleeping about the same as last month. He goes to sleep around 7 or 7:30 and wakes around the same time in the morning with a feeding around midnight and a feeding around 4am. Napping hasn't changed but I am learning to be thankful for the naps, no matter how small and after talking with some great friends who have been through this before, they let me know that this is all normal and the longer naps should develop over time. With 4 months comes the option to start Liam on some cereal, which we will be doing very shortly.
At the end of September we made a trip to meet our new nephew, Corbin Alexander Siron who was born on September 1st. He is one strong little boy and very cute! It was fun to see all of the Siron cousins together. We then headed to Bloomington for Blake's Aunt Karen's funeral. She had a short battle with cancer and unfortunately passed away September 16th. It was great to see family but also very bittersweet. We are heading back to IL today for my cousin Luke's wedding. I can't wait to see the whole Siron family. It has been too long since we were all together. Liam is a great traveler but last time when we got home, it took him about a week to get back on a regular nighttime sleep routine. I guess this comes with the territory.
Blake and I are doing well. I am still volunteering on Tuesdays and tutoring on Tuesdays as well. Blake recently got accepted to a leadership program within his company. It is a huge honor because it is something he had to be nominated and chosen for. He went through interviews and a presentation before he was officially accepted last week. It is a 3 year program and should set him up nicely for his future career goals.
