I think I like this stuff
October is and will continue to be a super busy month for us. Last week we went to IL for my cousin's wedding. When we returned, Liam went on his first field trip. Now, as I type, he is hopefully sleeping after a long day with a sick little guy. When we left IL we could tell he was getting a cold. He was stuffy and coughing but last night he started feeling really warm. He was running a fever so I called the doctor and decided to go in. We found out he also has an ear infection. Apparently the cold turned into one, which isn't uncommon for babies that sleep on their backs so much. He is doing ok and I am just praying the medicine kicks in and his fever goes away. I am also thankful this wasn't next week, when Blake will be in New York all week for his leadership program. Blake has been working so much this week preparing. I think he had two books to read and several on-line things to do. We liked our boring life before and are ready for it to return. Oh yeah, just in time for the holidays:)
On a good note, the wedding was beautiful and it was so good to see all of the family. We even got to have a fire and roast hot dogs and marshmallows at Mom and Dad's. It was pretty chilly there, in the 40's. We got back on Monday and Tuesday we went to Kinsey Farms with all of the weekday kids from church where Liam goes on Tuesdays while I volunteer. This was the field trip I mentioned above. I got some fun pumpkin pictures and Liam got to take a hay ride and see some huge catfish that the big kids were feeding. I think he will enjoy it much more in future years but it was fun to get out and the weather ended up being sunny and in the 70s. which we haven't seen here in a while. It has been raining so much that the lake is officially full. FINALLY. I am so ready to see the sun again.
If all that wasn't enough, we started Liam on cereal this week. He seemed to really like it once he figured out what to do with it. I joked that we made a deal. I would give him cereal and he would sleep through the night. No luck yet. A girl can dream right?
Enjoy the pictures from the past couple of weeks (and a few older ones I couldn't forget--thanks Rick and Jean).
