Marlo--Two Months Old

Marlo is two months old.  She weighs 13 pounds 8 ounces and is 24 inches long (95th percentile for both).  I looked to see how big Liam was at this age and he was 13 pounds 2 ounces and 24 and 1/2 inches long.  She is the size of some 4 month olds according to our doctor.  Marlo is wearing mostly 3 months clothing and pajamas but is pretty long for some onesies and footed pjs.  She really is a great baby.  As far as sleep goes, she wakes up once or twice at night, usually around midnight and 4am.  One night she did sleep from 9:30 to 6:30.  That did not continue though.  She usually goes to bed around 7 and wakes around 7 in the morning.  Marlo is a good napper as of now and I am hoping that she keeps it up.  She loves being swaddled and is for most of her naps and sleep times.

Marlo is more and more alert and smiley, and is starting to coo, a phase I LOVE.  I notice that she waits for quiet before she talks, unlike her brother who would talk anywhere and any time.  She is getting stronger on her tummy as well.  Marlo likes to grab on and hold onto you, something I find very cute.  She enjoys being on her play mat looking at and trying to grab the hanging stuffed animals.  Marlo is trying to get used to her big brother's loudness but has a hard time sometimes and jumps or gets scared.

We left Marlo with the church baby volunteers for the first time too.  She did great and didn't sleep much because there was so much going on.  It is important to us that we take the time to go to church as a couple and she get used to being dropped off.

While I am sad to see the newborn cuddly stage end, I look forward to getting to know our little girl's personality.
