Marlo 13 and 14 Months

These past two months have flown by and I decided to make a combined post for Marlo's 13 and 14 month posts.  Marlo had a big month at 13 months, she started WALKING!!  Marlo loves being able to see everything and even thinks she can keep up with her brother sometimes.  She is still in the cute walking stage where it isn't quite fluid but I am sure before we know it, she'll be running.   Marlo also has started dancing.  It is so fun to watch her bounce around.  Her favorite song right now to dance to is Jingle Bells.

Marlo is still in 12-18 month or 18 month clothing.  She has 6 teeth now that have broken through but a couple of them are still trying to come completely in.  Marlo continues to take two naps a day and sleep about 12 hours at night.

I love this age because Marlo is starting to be able to communicate and understand more and more each day.  She loves to brush her hair, wash herself, put on her shoes/socks, or whatever you are doing.  Marlo can say her own version of Liam, Daddy (her FAVORITE word), Mommy, Oma, no, uh oh, ho ho ho, weeeeee, hi, hello, vroom vroom or woo woo, please (signing and actually saying), more (just signing), all done (signing and actually saying), ei ei oo (for Old McDonald), and waddle waddle.  She is starting to learn the animal sounds. So far the main ones she can do are cow, lion, and elephant.  Many times she does these same three for all animals:)

Marlo has learned to blow kisses this past month as well.  She has also learned to do a few things we aren't too thrilled about like hit and push Liam when he takes something from her or throw a fit when she does not get what she wants.  Marlo is officially able to shoot Spider Man webs too, thanks to her brother teaching her.  Marlo is going through separation anxiety, mainly at the gym.  We aren't used to this because Liam barely even said bye to us most days, let alone got upset, but we are working through it with the extremely patient woman who work at the gym day care and as of last Thursday, she had made it an hour without much crying at all.

Overall, Marlo continues to be a happy smiley little girl who is independent and loves her family:)
