Baby #3

So the topic of having another baby has been something Blake and I always said we would discuss after baby #2.  We always said when people asked how many we wanted, "two and then we'll talk."  Well, if I am being honest, the transition from 1 to 2 was quite a ride for me and I wasn't sure that I even wanted to talk about another one for a while.  Around February we started talking and by March we agreed we both wanted another and we would just see what happened.  It took several months to get pregnant with both Liam and Marlo so we thought it would take a while to get this one..boy were we wrong!!  First month out and bam...positive pregnancy test.  Needless to say, I was in shock the first week after finding out the news.  Blake couldn't have been happier but I really didn't think it would happen so soon and could not believe it.  We are very excited to have baby #3 and complete our family.

All that being said, we found out I was pregnant right before our Switzerland trip.  I went to the doctor to make sure everything was good before we left and was only about 6 weeks along so it was too early to tell much, including a due date.  They did an ultrasound and we saw a little flicker.  I went back in two weeks when they confirmed my due date of November 27th and that I was 8 weeks along at that point.  So far everything looks great.  I have switched doctors to a practice that is closer to my house and I get to deliver at a hospital 5 minutes from my house!!  It is a great place and I debated whether to do it before I had Marlo and didn't so now is the time.

Liam is super excited to have another brother or sister (I hope he is still saying that once the baby gets here:)  Marlo doesn't really have a clue what it all means but acts excited if Liam does.  We know adding another will be quite a transition and of course the first year is always tough but we are looking forward to it!

I am 12 weeks along now and I feel like I am gaining weight and showing at record pace but then again, I think bodies remember doing this before and decide to pop out sooner and sooner with each one.  I have been tired and nauseous but nothing too bad.  I feel exactly like I did with Marlo.  I have trouble sleeping at night and consistent heart burn as well.  We do plan on finding out the sex around 20 weeks.  We will keep you posted!

This picture is how we told our parents...we mailed a ziploc bag of puzzle pieces and had them put it together.  My parents lucked out that I voted for a 60 piece puzzle for them.  Blake wasn't so nice with picking a 252 piece puzzle for his parents.  It took them a LONG time!!!

8 weeks

12 weeks...amazing the difference a month makes!!
