End of the School Year

Friday was the end of the school year for Liam in his 3 year old class.  I can't believe I forgot to get a picture of him with his teachers, Ms. Beth and Ms. Kathie.  Anyway, he had a great year.  His writing skills and coloring skills have improved greatly.  He has learned to write all the uppercase letters and is still working on the lowercase letters.  I am told not to worry about his lack of interest in coloring but I am happy that it is at least improving.  Liam is great at recognizing sounds and can tell you most times what letter words start with and what letters make up the words.  He has been able to pick out some familiar words too when seeing them in books, on TV, or of course, the iPad.    I love what a curious learner he is.

Liam has also learned a lot socially this year when it comes to listening and self control.  He still has some more work to do with that.  I love that he is kind to his peers and when visiting his room I can see he enjoys playing with all of them.  His two best friends from the year have been Miles and Caleb.  Whenever I ask him who he played with, he alway says them.  Overall Liam really is a great kid and his teachers were very proud of him and so are we.

The last week we enjoyed celebrating Liam's birthday a little early with some spiderman cupcakes.  His class also had their class picnic, which was a lot of fun.  Unfortunately, Liam isn't too in to pictures when his friends are around and he can be running around with them instead so I don't have too many of him.

Liam and his friend, Madelyn...so cute!
