This weekend Rick and Jean visited. We spent most of our time catching up and hanging out around the house. Of course Blake and Rick had one little project to do. The hardest part of the visit was not saying the baby's name. Blake and I are so used to saying it around the house. Rick and Jean were hoping we would slip up, but we didn't. They will come back on Friday while they are passing through on their way home from Florida. It was great to see them.
Today started a busy week of doctor's appointments for me. Last week, on Monday, I was going in to turn in my 24 hour urine test (FUN!) and I realized that I got a call from the doctor telling me that I failed my glucose screening test the Friday before. I have been on alert for this due to my PCOS, which makes me more likely to develop gestational diabetes. Since I have been working out and eating relatively well, I was hoping this wouldn't happen. So today I went in for my 3 hour tolerance test. I should have results either tomorrow or Thursday. Hopefully everything will be fine. As far as the results go for the urine test, she is looking to see if there is more protein, a sign of preeclampsia due to my high blood pressure. At this point, I have not crossed over the dangerous status but she is going to run another test in 2-4 weeks. I can't wait! Today my blood pressure was completely normal, which is great news. I go back the specialist Friday. Hopefully we will get some new pictures of our little guy to post.
Overall, I am feeling well. I have been able to work out regularly and do most of the same things. The swelling has remained mainly in my fingers and has been minimal. Here is a picture of me at 29 weeks. Per the suggestion of many, I am wearing a brighter color.

You look so great! We slipped up with the name just once when we were with friends and they were then sworn to secrecy...then we changed the name at the last minute, so it turns out that it didn't even matter, lol. Can't wait to find out yours and see pics in 10 weeks!!
Oh boy, it's getting close now!! How exciting! I hope your glucose test is normal but if it's not, you can think of me and be glad you only have to worry about your bloodsugar for a few weeks! :-)
