Arden 4 months old

Arden turned 4 months old on March 21st.  At her appointment a few days later, she was 16 pounds 8 ounces and 25.75 inches long.  According to the doctor, she is the size of a 6 month old.  She is a healthy and happy baby girl.  As of now, we are holding off on solids.  I am in no hurry to add one more thing to our schedule and she isn't malnourished by any means.  Arden is still in 6 month clothes.  She stays awake for about an hour at a time.  With our busy mornings, she is lucky to get a good nap in but makes up for it in the afternoon.  She wakes once at night, eats, and goes right back to sleep.  She continues to eat about every 3 hours during the day.  When sleeping at night, she is no longer swaddled.  She started breaking out of the swaddle a couple of weeks ago and we decided to stop swaddling because it was actually waking her up when she would come out of it.  She took about a week to adjust but is doing well.

Some exciting things we have gotten to see this month are giggles, squeals, and rolling front to back.   She is a hard sell on the giggles though.  I cannot get her to giggle hardly at all and if I do, she will laugh once and then expect something else next time.  She rarely laughs at the same things twice.  The only person that can get her to laugh well is Liam.  He must have the magic touch.  Arden has found her fingers and is fascinated with putting them or her whole hand in her mouth.

Happy girl!!
