Visiting the Pulokas Family in Nashville

The last weekend in April, we took a trip to see a long time friend of mine, Karla and her family.  Karla is married to Jim and they have kids that are the exact same ages and genders as our kids.  Our lives have always coincidentally been similar whether it was the same prom dress, kitchen table, rug, or who knows what else.  I had been waiting for a trip like this for over 10 years.  Karla and Jim just moved to Nashville from California and I couldn't be happier that they are so close.  Liam and Colton were instant friends.  They had so much fun playing and laughed their little hearts out all weekend.  Many people asked what we were going to do while we were there.  To be honest, getting 6 kids, ages 5 and under out of the house was no simple task.  We managed to take a walk to the park in the neighborhood and get to church on Sunday morning.  In my opinion, that was huge!!  We visited Karla and Jim's church,  Crosspoint Church,  in downtown Nashville.  I would highly recommend it if you know of anyone looking for a church in that area.  The message and music were wonderful.  We had such a great time catching up and can't wait to do it again.  Wow, have our lives changed since we met almost half a lifetime ago.
