Arden is 2 Months Old

Arden turned 2 months old at the end of January.  She has been one busy lady since she was born.  With all of the holidays and traveling, these two months have flown by.  We feel like she has always been a part of our lives.

When we went to the doctor, Arden was 13 pounds 6 ounces and 23.5 inches long.  This put her in the 90th percentile for weight and height.  She is wearing 3 month clothes and getting ready to switch over to 3-6 months/6months clothing.

Arden is cooing like crazy.  I absolutely love these little sounds.  She likes to wait until her brother and sister are quiet before she will start.  Pretty soon she will learn that if she doesn't speak up, she will never get a turn:).

Arden eats every 3 hours and has been projectile spitting up every once in a while.  After talking to the nurse at our pediatrician's office and getting some great advice, I have a few things to do to reduce the chances of her spitting up so much but in the end, the nurse said she could just be a happy spitter and as long as she isn't in pain, there really isn't anything we can do.  She will hopefully grow out of it sooner, rather than later.  I just pray we aren't in public when/if this happens again.  I have never seen anything like it.  I told Blake that it looks like something from a horror film.  She doesn't even get wet most of  the time because of the distance it gets.  I am the one who gets absolutely soaked.  I truly think she is choking on milk or getting an air bubble and reacts in this way.

Arden is not sleeping long stretches at night yet.  She can go about 4-5 hours at most between feedings at night.  During the day she is also a great sleeper and really can only stay up for about an hour before falling back asleep again.  She continues to be able to put herself to sleep, which is awesome!

Liam still ADORES Arden and is always wanting to kiss her, hold her, read to her, play with her, or whatever else he can do to be around her while she is awake.  Marlo still is happy to see her at times but doesn't have a whole lot to do with her.
