Arden's schedule is the same around the clock. She eats every 3 hours and can only really stay up for about an hour in between feedings. Sometimes, she will go 4 hours in between at night. The best part is that at night, I can just lay her down awake and she will go to sleep on her own. She stays awake for about an hour at a time after a feeding during the day. Arden is more of a "spitter upper" than the other two ever were. In fact, when she was only 3 days old, she decided to spit up bright red blood, and a lot of it. We were extremely scared and rushed to the emergency room. Luckily, she checked out just fine and it was from my body getting used to nursing. The little bit of blood that she was getting while eating irritated her stomach and eventually came back up.
Arden didn't stay in newborn sized clothing for long. At her 2 week appointment she was already 10 pounds and above the 95th percentile for weight and height. She is currently in 3 month clothes.
Arden is not fussy at all and only cries if she is tired or hungry. We sure hope this continues. She does seem to be more sensitive than the other two, especially with sudden, loud, unfamiliar sounds. She has had a hard time with sounds like Blake sneezing or when he has yelled upstairs. I am sure she will get used to it. She doesn't seem to be bothered though by the loud voices of her siblings:) She has given us one or two smiles and we can't wait for more.
