The kids had "meet the teacher" day August 13th and Liam started school August 14th. Marlo's first day was August 20th. Liam will go to school Monday through Thursday from 9-1:00 and Marlo will go Tuesdays from 9-1:00. The kids have been super excited to start school. Every time we went to turn in paperwork or drove by the school, Marlo would shout, "my school." Liam is excited to be 4 and be in his new 4 year old room. We enjoyed breakfast at waffle house with Blake before heading to meet the teachers. Liam was happy to see that his two best friends from last year were in his class again. Marlo was just excited to hold her new book bag and has been carrying around her lunch box ever since as well. It took a few days for Marlo not to cry when we dropped off Liam, but that is normal for her. She misses Liam a lot when he is gone. I think she also would love to go to school every day but she has plenty of time for that later. We are looking forward to a great year!

Liam talked me into going to Dutch Monkey, our favorite donut place before the first day of school...it isn't too hard to talk me into that:)
Marlo had a rough day missing her brother so I took this opportunity for some "girl time" and painted her fingers and toes. She was so proud of them! I couldn't believe how still she stayed and how well she did with it all.
